Cold side of A/C sweating heavy, why?

The a/c has been redone, new compressor, lines, dryer, evaporator and filled with R-12. When in use, the cold side of all the lines are all now covered with heavy beads of water, not just a fine mist. What would cause this much condensation?

Since your in Florida it is probably due to the high humidity. I would not worry about it. Ever take a glass of water with ice in it and rest it on a table? Notice how water beads form around the glass? Same theory except with your A/C system.

It's supposed to sweat. Thats how you know its working! You can insulate it with some armaflex if you want , like the suction line on your home AC unit.

I was noticing mine sweats bad also. The pipe on my 442 is insulated from the factory.
