Code 41—stored on ScanMaster BUT PowerLogger only a few frames!!!!
Yea, we done a search and there are many threads… BUT NONE---- with the problem only lasting a few seconds!!!!!
Here is a few parts( that might/not be connected with the code 41) that we have replaced over the last few years, we only drive the car about 2k a year(car shows/crusin’in and tuning sessions……the car is mainly used as a “teaching tool”):New module and coil pack (GM) NEW Casper’s Cam Sensor “LED” cap.

Code 41 came-up on 2 different days, while we were testing and tuning on the car at school.
NOW, here is the problem: the SES light did not blink or stay-on BUT the ScanMaster set the 41 code. We were logging using our PowerLogger and “caught” the run ( we made about 5 runs at 15-25psi boost, then this run with the code 41, and 6 more runs at 12-20 psi boost-- we were tuning the fuel/knock and did not notice the code in the scanmaster-- not reason to check code the car was running GOOD!!!). We were reviewing the logs (in shop class) when we came across a log that had the Code 41 on it. We counted the frames where the Code 41 happen/set—about 52 frames (less than 3 seconds) on the PowerLogger. We reset the ECM, then drove the car about 2 more hours (stopping, starting, idleing, and some WOT runs) without no-MORE 41 codes. We thought……”weird but OK” just another day in shop class!!!!!!
Yesterday we were doing some more testing/tuning and the same thing happen again--- this time it was about 30 frames(less than 2 sec.). The car is running about 25psi/no knock-- a little rich now…. We were having a “lean issue” but now it is running better (thanks TurboDave for the Help).
We checked/cleaned/inspected all connections---grounds, plug on cam sensor, coil module plug, the ECM, checked voltage on A11 and ohm the wire from coil module to cam sensor cap. We found NOTHING…. ANY suggestion(s) to our problem?
THANKS for the Help!!!
