Clunk noise?

my 2004r i have in my car is makeing a clunking noise i have new universals and the rear dosn't clunk, i went under the car and had my friend putit in gear sounds like it actually coming from the back end of the trans? is it possible to clunk when its put into gear??

Driveshell to direct clutch might have a little clearence. It wont hurt anything just makes a tinking clunk.

My car used to clunk like heck.... I put in a new stock style tranny mount and now it is tight, tight, tight...........

try that! kind of a pain to do though....
