Funny, I was thinking of this the other day. Has anyone used coke (yes, coca-cola) to clean the radiator? I've read in many places that the pH of coke is down near 2.0 or lower which is one EXTREMELY acidic substance. I know what it will do to paint and other things, and have used it on submarines to clean urinals and metals.... But at $0.99 per 2 liters I figured it would probably work great on cleaning scale out of a radiator. Then just flush the radiator after really good to get the sugar and crap out.
As far as I know this isn't even a wise tale or urban myth, just something I was thinking of and wondering if anyone has done something similar?
