Chrome side molding

The plastic protective cover is starting to peel off of my chrome body side molding. Can I pull the plastic off or will I create a bigger mess than I have now? Does anyone make repro pieces for this with the correct colored inserts (mine is dark blue)? Does anyone have this in N.O.S.? Thanks, Sam Williford

Look on e-bay under T-Type in parts & assories in e-bay motors. There was a set of nos body side mouldings on there last week in blue like you need with the chrome.
