Caspers audible knock detector goes nutz

I was driving the we4 tonight and decided to mat it and the knock detector went off and wouldn't stop! I had to pull over and shut off the engine to get it to stop. It chirps once and a while when I start the engine, but I have seen 4 deg KR with no signal. When it went off this time,scanmaster had no KR value since the tps hadnt gone up enough. What could cause this and has anyone else experienced this? thanks

Who knows whats up with that thing. I have one to install but I will return it instead. To many people reporting it does not "beep" when it should. Up to 8 deg. kr without a peep from it. Sounded like a good idea when I bought it, but if it wont sound off??

This one sounds off, it just won't stop once it starts!!

Mine sucks too but I soldered it on so it stays. Never goes off while driving only when starting the car, and it's loud.

8* KR and not even a short beep. Oh well.....
