GREAT BRITAIN ? NO

FRANCE ? WRONG AGAIN

MUST BE USA ? STILL WRONG

GIVE UP ?

THESE ARE THE AMERICAN MILITARY FORCES THAT WERE ELIMINATED DURING THE
ADMINISTRATION OF BILL CLINTON AND AL GORE.

SLEEP WELL!

Point?

Just sit back and think about it. Yemen was the beginning.
Point?
The Clinton Admin strikes again, negativly, when we need it.
Ask the reservists what they think now that they are leaving their homes to fight for which would be NO PROBLEM if not for the Clinton administration.

lol. And you really think you need your reservists there?

How much do you think that all that stuff on that list costs to maintain on an annual basis? On the off chance that once every fifteen years or so you may get to deploy it. And what difference would it make in your current conflict anyways? You already have the arsenal to determine the outcome at your leisure. How much is enough?

There is no conventional military threat to the U.S. in the current world order. And if one of the other nuclear powers decided to rain on your parade, there isn't anything on that list that would be able to do anything about it except to ensure swift payback. ;)

Good point. Clinton did more damage to the USA, the military, and our national security than any foreign nation ever has.

As for the cost of maintaining OUR military, thats OUR business. I have never heard of any American complain of our taxes going to support our forces. If anything, most Americans would rather see taxes spent there than on socialist/welfare type programs.

As for having a too large military capability, we need it to protect countries that apparently won't or can't protect themselves. (ie canada, germany, france, south korea, etc)

I do believe it's way past time to call most of our troops back home to protect our borders and let those ungrateful nations protect themselves.

GO USA-SUPPORT OUR MILITARY!

Well if we trimmed the military that much and still have the strongest military in world...I am going to sleep just fine.

Besides, nobody complained when their investments increased three fold during the Clinton Admin.

I don't remember hearing any one ask those Company's to lie about and distort their profits, which drove those investment results? Clinton was the one who turned a profit on my investment? I guess I missed that one too.
And of course, it makes more sense to pull money from the military to fund government run programs which promote reliance on (said) Government to make it in life.

I'm done reading these political posts, they always get me crazy!

FRANCE,,well I aught to slapp you upside the head;) ;)

The Democrats never saw a military expense they wouldn't cut. That idiot Carter said the US should disarm unilaterally to set a "good" example for the rest of the world. Instead of being for taking out Saddam, they're worried about money for education, even though people getting out of school can't read. The big question on the democrats minds these days is how much is the war going to cost. I can tell them......about 1% of the cost of a nuclear blast in US city.

There's one in every thread. So any country that doesn't agree with your point of view needs your protection anyways for its own good and because it just doesn't have your piercing clairvoyance? Are you familiar with the term socialism? Perhaps communism is a little more recognizable? Did it ever dawn on you that none of those countries listed want or need your help (with the obvious exception of South Korea).

This is getting away from the point of Bruce's original post. So feel free to PM me with your intelligent, well thought out replies to clear this board of a topic it is was never intended to discuss.

I'm going to try to reply in a respectful manner since the mods will smack me around if I don't.

99% of the people on this board are AMERICAN. We don't appreciate un-American thoughts or words.

It's analogous to you going over to your neighbor's house and after being invited in, starting to bitch and complain about your neighbor's house or how it's run.

If you don't like your neighbor's house....DON'T GO THERE. Or at least have the restraint to keep your negative thoughts to yourself while you're in that house.

1% of the people on this board are CANADIAN. We don't appreciate un-Canadian thoughts or words. :(

I thought this board was for all TR enthusiasts regardless of nationality. I wasn't aware I needed to be invited to participate. Who do I see for an invite? BTW, why don't you take a moment to read the thread from the beginning and see where the bitching and complaining begins. 99% of the bitching I see around here is done by Americans complaining about how all their neighbors run their house. I thought this was a quasi-informative thread as I was interested in Bruce's point. That lasted about an hour until the trolls showed up.

I agree wholeheartedly. Feel free to keep your comments about Canada to yourself.

BTW, the Internet is a world wide affair....hence the www.... ;) So regardless of where the host server is located, turbobuick.com is an international site. If you want to make it "your house" put a password on it. I mean really.

I think I need to change the location in my sig so you guys pause to think about what I actually say instead of immediately condemming me because of where I live. ;) This your house my house my gun is bigger than yours is so......

Chris never mentioned anything about Canada in his reply. I don't know why you're acting indignant. You stuck your two cents in trivializing Bruce's post. The US is the most generous and greatest country on earth. Name a country that even compares. There are NONE.

The US is at war and most Americans are tired of comments that are negative to the US especially from a Canadian, our neighbor, who's government doesn't even support us. There are enough leftys right here in the US. You're entitled to your opinion but we're really not interested in your left wing viewpoint.

And what exactly is my viewpoint John? I wasn't aware I had posted it anywhere. Please cut and paste.

The worst part of the war is....

....we start fighting and mudslinging ourselves. Reading this post, I understand what Bruce meant by his post and I can understand what Dean was saying in his reply. Both are good points and opinions but it some how seems these turn in to (or have the potential) a mudslinging contest. Especially between Canada and the US! I have friends and have done business with people south of the border and with how much we have in common, I feel there is no border. We're really quite the same. Generalizing Canadians and Americans just doesn't work. The war isn't here. We're all the good guys and we have to stick together. I have previously posted "One Canucks View" supporting the ousting of Saddam Insane so let's keep our energies supporting the people that don't have the luxury of turning up the boost and having beers in the free world. Sorry for the rant but I take digs against my Great home Canada personally as I know Americans do about your Great home country. It's called PRIDE in where we live and grow with our families. Take care.

Bruce...

Likes everybody.....At least on this continent:D

However , I did give The Radius Kid his nick name.
It was meant in a sarcastic manner but he just cannot seem to forget it. I said "friggin Canadians" once and he took it to heart. wasn't meant as a mudsling, was meant as a metophor, however, He sure enjoys it.:D That is what matters to me. As for Canada, well I got to admit, not your war, not your deal, I would just be watching and absorbing. Someday you "northern fellas" will see that they would, could, will and did on 9/11 take away as much from you as they did we. It was an act that had to occur. You ought to be thankful we are dealing with it for you so you can live in peace and freedom too. We are all one here. We can never lose sight of that. Want to defeat an enemy? Divide and conquer. Guys, we just cannot allow them to divide us.
Canadians and all other free people of the world should be sending thank you notices from above that this a-hole will finally be dealt with. I cannot wait for vengence of the rest of them 9/11 bastards. Their time will come, and when it does, We will all be one.:D

I hear ya.....

That's cool Bruce. We do appreciate what you guys are doing over seas and I do hope that America gives this a$$hole what he deserves. Osama Bin Goofball said that he has major targets in Vancouver and other places in Canada that he wants to take out so we have to be on our toes too. I actually feel this is our (Canada's) war also which is why I a disappointed in our Prime Minister's decision to stay out. All the best to the troops in Iraq and take care:)
