hey guys im new here and this is my first post! i was wondering if a rearend out of a 92 camaro rs would bolt in my 85 limited? my brother in law wrecked the car and it had low miles and i believe a posi?

you might be able to use the disc brakes, but nothing else, since the only 3rd gen F bodies to get rear disc brakes used the (Borg Warner?)9 bolt rear axle.
and the brakes won't be a bolt on deal, since the axle flange used a different bolt pattern and the offset measurement from the axle flange to the axle flange might be different.
if you can get the parts cheap enough, you'd only be out a couple of hours, a diff cover gasket, and a jug of gear oil to pull your axles out and backing plates off to see if it will fit.

Third gen housing has no upper control arm mounts. It uses a torque arm instead
