Today drove my car an hour away ran awesome no problems.Went to the car show,left there for the cruise after drove another 20 mins no problem.Leave the show to drive an hour home.Car runs good till I'm just about home then it starts to pop and bang fart sneeze etc,shuts off.I'm thinking the worse,anyways get it home by tow truck.Get it home key it up no light on cam sensor cap (casper cap).So I think ignition controle module don't ask me why ,other then had 2 fail (autozone junk).So I take it back they give me new one no questions asked.Put it in still no light crank it over no light.So I pull cam sensor cap bolt for plate is loose and plate deal moving around.So I pulled bolt out put some lock tight on it ,before I did this I noticed the tab is gone on bottom of plate.So i put a allen in the notch and tightened bolt as tight as could get.Turned key runs great again.Any one else ever had this happen? If so did you replace the gear assembly,or just thread lock bolt and continue on?
