Cam bearings

Not normally, alot depends on the mileage of the motor, and was the oil pressure good?, if the car was running good, and had no abnormal noises, then NO, besides ,to replace the cam bearings, you'd need to dissassemble the motor.
Just be careful when you remove, and replace the cam.
and remember to break in the cam properly! ( constant 2200 -2500 rpm for 20-30 minutes) (cam gets its oil from the rods slinging oil, due the side clearance between the rods, and crank)

Good luck

cool, That's what I wanted to hear. I'm not sure when or if I am going to replace it. Just wanted to know about the bearings though. Thanks
