Burnout

Hi, new to the turbo game. I try to power brake my 86 gn and can't get a burnout. It will not go into boost. Is that a restriction setting by factory or do I need a stall? Just curious? Prolly a stupid question but any info would be appreciated

86 grand national, upgraded heads, turbo, pistons, crank, custom grind cam

Could be in the tuneup...
A converter would help.

Do you know what size turbo?

Is the converter stock?

What kind of brakes are on the car?

If you are running stock headers, check for cracks as this can prevent the turbo from spooling up like it should.
