Bumper chip guard?

What would be the best undercoating to keep my bumper paint from chipping?
I already stripped the paint to the bare metal with aircraft stripper, then roughed it up with #60 grit DA, and was going to spray the bumper with etch primer then primer then topcoat it with the base and clear. Will it work?

Thats what I did to mine and they look great. Just stay away from flying rocks.
