Boxed LCA ?

Pulled my rearend and control arms out of my GN to do some rebuilding. I am gonna box the LCA's. I noticed when I pulled the rear sway bar off that there is a bracket/spacer that appears to align the sway bar bolts and keep the LCA from being squeezed together. Should this spacer be tack welded in before they are boxed or are they not needed because of the strengthening of being boxed? Thanks

I would tack them in place, the arms will still crush where the sway bar bolts go through.

+1 you need to tack them in place before boxing.

yes tack them in place, or just buy some after market ones from a umiperformance.com or another vendor

Thanks guys, I will tack them back in before sealing the up and having them powder coated.
