Ed,
So your a WNY'er too.
I think, I say I think I have bumped into you at NYIRP. I remember talking to you and a young lady who has a T-Type.

Maybe we will see you and Kevin this summer. Try out that GSX. I must say you have nice stable!

Carl, I will try out the GS at NYIRP probably bone stock
the first time. I usually go during club events which are
list on the club web page <shameless plug following>.

Established in 1998 and located in Western New York, we
are mainly made up of people from the areas near Buffalo
and Rochester. Join us at the track, car shows, cruise in's
and other events. Our Buicks range from wild to bone stock.
Our club web page is: http://wnyturbobuicks.tripod.com/

Our last event there we rented out the track to our club -
it was great I got in a dozen or so passes!

just an open k&n ed, when i ran it at the last track rental i just mashed the gas :), sorta like i do with the GN.

no idea how to get a good FWD launch, but id start with some drag radials and see where that gets ya.

There is a way, but it takes a little practice. You need to go about 1/4 throttle and by 17 mph (give or take) be at WOT. Its just a matter of pushing it at hard as you can before you break loose then after a tiny chirp open it up.

For the record I have run a 13.8 with a 3.4 pulley and minor mods.

In the turbo Regals I start at (depending upon track conditions)
a certain RPM or boost level and floor it so there is little
tire spin ( a quick chirp seems to work). With FWD you
suggest hitting about 1/4 throttle in place of flooring it
and if I understand gradually floor it so it's at WOT at
about 17 MPH for your best 60 foot time. Thanks!

Yeah thats about right. Its been so long since I have been there:mad:

A slight wheel chirp is what your looking for on FWD as well.

1/4 throttle and 17 mph are estimates.

Sounds similar to your RWD GN's but we can't build boost at the line without spinning down the track. Buit the good part is the SC creates instant boost with higher RPM's
