so i picked up a 52 chevy 3/4 ton flatbed pickup to use as a stuff hauler, and the kingpins are shot. anyone ever do a kingpin replacement before? the parts should be here in a few days, but ive already started pulling them apart. rust seems to be a super bonding agent holding these parts together. i think i need a bigger hammer. anyone have some tips on the r&r?

to be done right............

you will need to install new king pin bushings,( in the spindles) and honed to fit the new pins,
most auto machine shops can do that,
lots, and lots of PB blaster, to loosen the rusted parts, and yes, BIG hammer! ( there is a bolt holding in each pin)
good luck
