another cam sensor question

i am replacing my cam sensor due to it being noisiey.my question is do i have to set it different due to having a larger/roller cam,it is a 218/218

I used to advance mine a bit from the stock 25 degrees ATDC when I was running a 224 / 224 cam in my street car. The thought was that with a longer duration cam the intake valve opening is sooner than with a stock cam. From what I saw it appeared to help. Others who are much more well versed in electronics like Bob Bailey can probably give you a more difinitive answer as to whether or not it really makes a difference.
