Almacs Supermarkets

Anybody here remember this mini chain? About a dozen stores or so located in southeastern ma and rhode island. They went out of buisness a good 15 years ago so i was shocked when while waiting for a haircut i was flipping thru the current rolling stone magazine and saw a picture of Dave groell of the foo fighters playing live rockin out with an almacs supermarket t-shirt on. my mother use to work there ha ha

Hey: I have a can of Almacs kidney beans on the shelf, I am waiting for them to BLOW UP!! LOL I shopped there for years, we had one right in the middle of Smithfield, now it is a TJ Max store.
Something never change.
