AFPR leaks, any ideas

I've had my new adjustable fuel pressure regulator on and off a dozen times now trying to get it to seal into the fuel rail. Sometimes the leak is a spray, sometimes it's a slow drip, but I can't seem to get it to seal.

About every third time I swap it out the O-ring is torn. I have some injector O-rings, so I've been replacing them as they tear. I lube the O-ring each time with Vaseline, motor oil, and most recently WD40.

Any ideas or tips on how to get the regulator to seal into the rail would be appreciated.

I figured it out. The ears on the regulator were bent a little and it kept the regulator from seating all the way into the rail. I tweaked the ears a little bit and was able to get the regulator to seal properly.
