Adj..an external wastegate...help...please

....Ok heres the thing when I turned the boost controller up after my 1st run
"by the way it was a air compressor boost controller" .......I turned it up by the + side
next run went from 15 to 18lbs .......next run turned it up more "no knock running SMC kit"....it got to 20lbs.......last run I turned it more but it didnt move past 20lbs.....I tryed to go up more becouse no knock 02s good... So tryed to move the controller to adj the boost and the knob just spun both ways ofter moving 1/2 a turn....

I didnt run it after that.....was it the springs in the wastegate that stoped it at 20lbs ...I dont know whats in there or what kind ......it came with the down pipe

sounds like the controller. but depending on the spring in the gate the pressure could be overwhelming it. verify that the controller is closing off, and if its closed off all the way and you cant make more than 20 psi then the spring is to light
