This is a new race to be used with our TH 400 PRO MOD 36 ELEMENT INTERMEDIATE SPRAG AND DRUM ASSEMBLY.Made from premium 9310 steel billet blanks.Profile accepts STOCK TH400 clutches. No more 4T80E or C6 clutches which require bored out steels and pressure plate. We have made this part for 11 years and early types were ruff but got the job done. This new set up features all new 8620 tool steel inner race that is precicision doweled and ground concentric with the clutch drum.Inner race design is stepped to clear the feed hole in the drum.Biggest problems with using the 4T80E race is there is no oil to feed the clutches. The holes are there but they are connected to an area where there is no oil supply available to feed them. The updated race features 4 radiused lube holes that are pressure fed oil from the sprag assembly. The outer race has the missing splines to flow oil to the clutches.Very big accomplishment.Would like to thanks all of those who assisted in the project,Stavros Kalarakis,John Hutchinson, and Mike Frabrizio.Parts will be completed on Monday,God willing ,and will be off to heat treat.Expect the new assemblies to be on the shelf shortly.
