Anybody ever seen a 5 sp manual trans turbo ta pace car

The 5spd was never offered in the TTA. Unless someone swapped in a 5spd that is the only way it would be possible. I have heard rumors of a factory 5psd TTA prototype from years back but have never seen a picture of it. Again, just a rumor.

Yeah i thought so he said there was a proto type gnx with a 5 speed lol no title in Decater Ind

In GM's stash with a 6 speed ZF box ... roll gage etc ... built on a 85 or 86 TA ... not 100% sure if GM or PAS built it but it's been mentioned and tested in a magazine back in the days and also been to a number of shows like TA nationals etc .... got pictures of it somewhere, will post if I find them

They were going to make a few hundred TTA's with a manual option. It never made it into production. I have the paper work from Pontiac showing where you could possibly order one. I think they realized with a turbo automatic trans is pretty much the way to max out the power and efficiency of the turbo.
