Hey all..Trying to help out a nephew with a new used car he picked up..
89 cutlass ciera with the buick 3300 motor..
We suspect that the coil pack may be hooked up wrong..

The only source I had was a Haynes for a 3800 ..I am assuming it should be the same but wanted to be sure..

So far we have ,posts on top , left to right, harness sticking out to right

6,3 2,5 4,1

Does this sound correct?
I read somewhere that the 3300 used batch fire or something for the injectors, But I am thinking that shouldnt have changed the firing order??

Thanks a bunch

thanks turbotwin2,
That site and one other show exactly opposite order from the 3800..
I know the actual firing order of the motors are the same, just where they felt like placing the corespnding coil is different I guess...

I found one more source but it showed the older style 1 peice coil pack like our cars.
I guess If I imagined the posts lined up like the style 2 then I could assume the same order 1,4-5,2-3,6
