Selling my 87 442, car has 112,000 original miles but mechanically just about EVERYTHING is new!! Car is an original 442 as can be verified by the vin. I have receipts to veryfy all major work. Car's got A LOT of time and money in it, so no low-ballers. If you don't have the cash don't waste my time. I just dropped the price to $4500. It's EASILY worth that just in parts! Car runs GREAT, has typical creaks and rattles here and there associated with a 23yr old G-body but nothing atypical. Even in traffic temp never gets above 180. Phone call only, no e-mail, 848-250-3006. Again asking $4500 obo, the car's worth more in parts than what I'm asking so no low-ballers.

-Rebuilt 403ci olds motor, low compression, stock rebuild with all new parts, can be run on 87 octane without issue, has 10k miles MAX on it, probably not even, have receipts, cost $1800
-Built 200R4 Trans with new stock converter, shift kit, etc, cost $2900 total, have receipts
-Rebuilt Rear w/4:10's
-all new suspension KYB, with receipts
-Trans Cooler
-Edelbrock Intake Manifold
-Holley 750 DP Carb, BRAND NEW
-Chrome valve covers/breather
-Fresh NJ Inspection
-Long Tube Headers
-Custom true dual exhaust w/o cats (have receipts)
-New Starter
-New Accel Super Coil
-New Plugs
-New performance wires
-Recent paint, with receipts, Maaco job but not bad really, NO overspray at all, not the original color or stripe kit but so what, it looks good
-Solid car, not much rust, ZERO rot, may find a small bubble or 2 but it's much more solid than 90% of G-bodies
-New Door weatherstripping included, still in the wrapper
-CD Player
-5" Tach
-Autometer Oil Press Gauge
-Autometer Water Temp Gauge
-Centerline Wheels (front tires are so/so, rears are good)
-recent shocks/struts
-Optima Red Top Battery
-Flex-fan
-Just checked the brakes

Problems/What it needs:
-body & paint are nice but not 100% show worthy, few small rust spots, typical rust inside trunk, not coming through though.
-memory wire to radio hooked up, loses memory when you shut it off
-blower motor or resistor, not sure which
-shim the starter, it's a little loud, won't hurt it but if you want to quiet it just shim it
-cracks in dash pad and bezel around gauges, both can be replaced easily and cheaply
THATS IT.

No trades. Have plenty of pics but you get the idea. It's not mint but it's a great jumping off point since most of the major work is done for you.

No offers to see it yet? I might be interested. I'm selling my 86 Silverado LWB and my 98 Nissan Pathfinder soon. Once I get the $ from them, I might be interested.

Not really, I'm surprised. The only person who did see it loved it, just couldn't get a loan to buy it. He's trying to sell his truck in time. We'll see.

But keep me updated. If it sells I'll update the ad saying so, so if you don't see "SOLD" it's still here.

I'm actually driving it daily again for now, aside from the starter being loud it still runs damned amazingly!

Sorry no trades. Everytime I get a trade offer for something someone flakes out. I either never hear from anyone or some other BS. Either way, I need the cash more anyway.

And as I said people, I AM negotiable. I'd like to move it soon. Doesn't mean I'm taking some ridiculous offer like $3k, but come look and shoot a serious offer out there.

I'm at the point where I have to move it, so $3800 absolutely FIRM, again, I have $7k in receipts for EVERYTHING, and it's all new. Trans cost almost what I'm asking for the whole car.

Car's dead reliable, I drove it daily for quite a white. It's a good running car, needs a few bs odds and ends but nothing horrible.

How much of the original equipment do you have: rims, engine etc.

NADA, like I said, if you're looking for a numbers matching ugly slow turd then this is not your car. Lets face it, they're not really any kind of collectors car anyway, and factory options in these cars were basically garbage. You'll pay more for a stocker and it won't look as good, and certainly won't hold it's own like this car does. A honda could pretty much mop up an original 442.

So it's not an ugly slow turd? What are it's track times? Is that a dent at left center of hood or a reflection?

Small dent in the hood, never tracked it but it did pretty well against an LS1 camaro. Lost but not by much. The average 442 wouldn't stack up to a mini van let alone an LSX car.

403 with 4:10 gears and the low 1st gear of the 200r4 = a good set up. Should come out of the hole pretty good.
Good luck with sale. Nice car.
