86 t-type factory alarm light

My T-Type has the factory alarm, when the car is turned off, the light flashes. I have tried the door lock. I just want to turn the power off to the light. I think this is running my battery down. Any ideas???? Thanks RW

It sounds like it's working the way it's supposed to.Unless you mean that it's coming on before you open the door. In that case check the pin switches.

What alarm system are you running? i had the same problem. My car has a dealer viper system so i just unpluged the light, simple fix.
