I'm looking at a GM service bulletin, 86-6-2. In it, the "new" 1986 torque-to-yield bolts were being described. They had no indentation on the head of the bolt, and no neck down area on the shank. They were being compared to the '85 torque-to-yield bolts (also no indentation on the head of the bolt) with a neck down area on the shank.
As a reference, the earlier '85 head bolts were shown (what I have), with indentation on head of the bolt, but no neck down area on the shank. These head bolts were described as REGULAR bolts, not torque-to-yield. Can I reuse these?
