700 filter in 200r

What filter do i get that has the bottom pickup so i can stop overfilling my tranny? Can i use the stock trans pan?
I have heard both yes and no.

The 700 R4 filter will only work with a modified Art Carr pan or a pan that is designed for it.

The 700 filter will not work with the stock pan.

If you have an art carr pan w/ the modified stands, then you use the shallow 700 filter. Just order one for a 90 camaro 305 V8 and you'll get the right one.

I have a 700 filter in my tranny with the stock pan, it works fine, no need for a diffrent pan or anything.

Kevin, which filter did you get? I mean what car do you order for to get the right filter? Do you only have to fill up to the full line now?

Vince Janis put it in, i think its just a 700r4, not exactly sure.
