4.5 retard

have stock 86 gn stock chip ext running 93 oct . wot I got a reading of 4.5 retard heard no knock. Is that a bad number or normal.

What gear did the knock happen in (it may be knocking during a shift)? What psi was the boost at? How does fuel pressure look at idle and does it rise 1:1 per psi of boost? What fuel pump and is it hotwired? Any amount of KR has the potential of bad problems.

Could be false knock like mentioned above if at shift point. Might want to grab a newer chip with the "fuel" these days compared to the 80's. Highly doubt you'd hear the knock either. If you do, it's too late. Might wanna do a spring cleaning as well.
