OK, the one thing that SUCKS about these 17" Wheels is that I'm Stuck with ONE SIZE in a Drag radial (or slick) and thats the 275/40-17...Will these FIT without Rubbing the Frame rail... I'm at 4.5" Backspacing....

Thanks 350,

I have 255's on the rear now, and I have ~3/4 to 5/8" clearance to the frame rail, BEFORE I spend $350 or so I'd like to know if anyone else fit them (the 275/40-17)...

it should fit ok in fact it might look a little smaller esp. if you don't have a lowered susp due to the lower profile. It's only 26" tall and 10" wide and the tire bulge (side wall) is 11.30" wide. To really look good and maxed the width use at least 9" wide rims.

Carmello,

Thanks, the Stock Tires are Exactly 26.00" tall , which is what I've got right now with my 255/45-17's. The Only thing is that 275 in width(the MT's), translates to Exactly 10.827", where does the 11.30" come in?
And my Rims now are 17x8, so do you think they'll fit (the 275 MT's)??

Thanks!!

275/40/18 26.5 tall on 18x10 4.75bs no rubbing at lots of space no rolled lip no notch. Use a spacer plate and check out M&H tires.

sorry, the 11.30 is an error it should be 11.0 that's the section width of the tire (bulge on the side wall), the actual width or the part that contact the road is called tread width and for this particular tire is 10.20". Also note that MT calls for a 9" minimum rim width You can use your 17X8 but you won't be able to appreciate the full width of the tire.
