200r4 hard shifting

Trans shift nice on up shift, but the down shift is a whole nother story. When cruising trans shifts nice and firm but it seems like when coming to a stop the down shift from 2 to 1st is extremely hard so hard you can hear the driveshaft clang u joints are good. The only thing i can tell you about trans is that it has a billet servo. as far as shift kit etc i have not a clue. is this normal or am i in for big problems? Thanks josh

From what i was told it is a superior super servo

This is a common complaint with that servo.

Would'nt this be a case of someone leaving out the cushion spring in servo, or does a Superior Super Servo not use a cushion spring?

The Superior servo doesn't allow the use of the cushion spring unless it's machined.
