200 4r 4th gear is gone help!

4th gear floats down to idle when coasting and revs to 3rd gear RPM when under power. i was told by chris @ ck to check my 4th gear pressure port but my gauge got broken first. new one on the way. any ideas? this was after i installed a shift kit. is there something out of place in VB? thanks in advance.

Did you ever have 4th after the T/B install?

everything worked fine before shift kit. no 4th ever after install.

4th gear is like neutral when coasting and like 3rd when under throddle. my old trans did this too before i junked it... what is causing this?!

It could be the 3-4 shift valve is stuck. What mods did you do to the VB??

how do i check that valve? i did a bunch of spring changes and plate drilling...

Pull the VB & check to see if the valve is free. But it would be better to first do like Chris said & put a press. guage on the 4th press. port.

What kit did you use?

i used a trans go kit i bought from someone on the forum. yeah i just got my new gauge today ill check her pressures out tonight.
