I have a rebuilt 400 turbo (BOP) never installed just a good complete rebuild no billet parts, no brake, or anything like that. $350.00. Also I have a 200R4 (set up for a non lock up convertor) 40k miles shifted perfect behind a stock motor. Its a good back up/emergency trans or good for a daily driver. $300.00. I couldn't believe what he sent me. The teeth on the gears were pitted, galled and cracked from looked like shock loading on hard launches. I had to send pictures to keep him from arguing with me about it. I finally got my money back but had to eat the return shipping as his "buddies" up there in Chi-town said he shouldn't have to pay for it. He's a fast talker with a good story on his junk.

How did I miss this post! First of all, This took place like over two years ago and you got your money back and yes you had to eat the money for shipping it back just like Gary ate the money for shipping it you. That is fair, if you want to buy something and expect it to be perfect, you should go buy a new one. We all know when you buy something USED it freaking means used and it will not be perfect. One mans description of good shape may not be the same for the next guy. Why didn’t you ask for pictures of every area you wanted to inspect before you have bought it? Gary was nice enough to give you your money back, when you go buy something used and you are not satisfied with it, there are consequences like this incident. You are not dealing with a big corporation, we all work hard for our money. He was out of same amount of money as you were!

Now getting on here and flat out insulting Gary’s integrity is not smart on your end. You really don’t know anything about him other than your one time dealing and I think he took care of the matter as should and you’re still bitching and crying. Gary is a type of person that will take his own shirt of his back and give it to you if you need it. He is not out screw anyone. He has been a great help to our little Buick community in many ways. He has helped anyone and everyone immensely without expecting anything. He doest it just based on his true passion. He is also one of Chicago’s finest that follows the law to a T.
If you are still hung up over the shipping cost I will tell you what, I will be honored on Gary’s behalf to pay you the lousy shipping cost that you are crying about, just let me know how much and a PayPal add. That is the least I can do for Gary for all the things he has done for our community. If not, get life and move on!!!!!

Gentleman I really appreciate the words of support, unfortunately I think the statement he made will remain in the minds of members. I did address the matter direct in a private message but never received a response for whatever reason (gotta love the keyboard warrior mentality) so I think the matter has ended.
