First off, I have an AVC dash with VDO mechanical speedo that has failed. I want to eliminate the speedometer cable and 2 pulse vss in line with the cable now under the hood. I will install the 16 pulse dead end VSS sender to drive an electric VDO gauge. My question is, can I simply cut the wires currently coming off my 2 pulse VSS in line with the speedo cable under the hood and feed this signal with one 2 pulse converter? I've read that I need to run 2 converters, one for cruise and one for ecm, but both of those functions are served now with the one 2 pulse vss so I'm thinking one converter wired right into the current 2 pulse wiring harness should do the trick. Thoughts? Experience? TIA, need to get a straight answer on this and it's been tough. Would pics help?
