1987 Turbo T ***ending In 1 Hour!!!***

didn't someone post carfax showed this car to have 129K on it or something? If that's true I'll have to remember to use this line next time I sell a car on eBay "Has 52,553 miles on the odometer" Looks really clean for all those miles (if correct) that's for sure.

Normally, if someone was selling a car HERE, i would find this thread rude and not supportive.

But its fair game since the auction is over and its EBAY  . Glad someone FINALLY posted about this 150,000+ mile car.

The obvious signs are the headrests are nice and tight with their original color, the front and rear seats have been recovered and are very loose AND almost blue in color.. Its pretty obvious they are not the originals. Look at the carpet. Looks like its worn thin.

The dash appears to be repainted.

If you know these grey interior cars. The glove box, the dash, the speaker grill, the console, and the speedo surrounding piece NEVER match in color. I think its all due to the difference in material, vynal vs plastic. I drive one everyday, its a no brainer. This car it appears to be the exact same color, even the console, but yet NONE match the steering column.

Please see attached picture!!!!

I honestly think the car was a blue interior car from the pinstripe on the outside of the car.

Look at the headliner, notice the headliner was redone yet the visors are a different color and material. Almost makes me think this car was a high mile car made to look fair.

Who paints the exhaust that color?

Under the doors is very nice, but the car isnt a 50K car.

Just my opinion, and not gonna comment about the rusty alternator nut under the hood of the car...

Maybe i said too much already, but then again.... theres always more info on ebay than here:rolleyes:

The dash color looks a little to light to me. Anyone else see this? And really, who puts an EGT gauge on a stock car?

Pretty much why i posted the pic. The entire dash is the same color and looks "different". You read my thread?

Good eye on that dash color & trim pieces bryan. Someone certainly spent some time doctoring that car up.

Simply goes to show how much a well constructed ad with great pictures and descriptions helps to get top dollar for a car...

And I think Flash 'washout' has a lot to do with the colors being questionable... I doubt the dash was painted.

I think it was painted.
Look at the glove box door, those always start to rust cause they were painted thin.

How do you flash washout the fact that the steering column and the floor shifter are the only original colors in that pic.
Look how old that carpet is, its almost white from age:redface:

The dash and other pieces are completely the wrong color.

not to argue with anyone here but, in just my short little 'digital photography experiments' career, even i know thats flash washout.

Its easy, theyre further away. i see it everyday around my house when i shoot photographs of things up close, perfecting my photo skills for an up coming project. also, different things are at different angles. theyre going to have different reflectivity values, as are the materials ones shooting. some just reflect more than others. As far as how the interiour velour looks a different colour? also flash washout. again, not trying to start anything here at all but, anything short of yankin the whole dash and everything, and having a professional restorator or interior specialist dye em with a PROFESSIONAL GRADE (NOT released for public distribution) dye, would simply not last. I dont care WHAT you do, or HOW you prep it. Its simply not going to stick. yea, i know the "mines been dyed for 3 years now, and its fine" is a one in a million case. let me rub my dirty thumb over it in the summer, and watch me rub it right off too. its cuz the old technology plastic and chemicals used in the plastics back then, degrade with uv rays over 18 plus years, and are in advanced degredation at the point of painting, and are still in the process of degrading, and emitting fumes, which over time, screw up the paint youve just used to do the interior. itll never work right. maybe for a year and thats it. check any good detailing sites 'interior' section..itll tell ya right there im sure. too much trouble in my opinion. that interior does look kinda good. I doubt its paint. 99% of the time, people always screw something up while painting it. Now im not doubting that is a rollback car.... the carfax says but.. ive learned, while pouring over other peoples tr's at shows, that the mileage or age has nothing to do with the condition of the car. you should see some of the people here in detroit, with 2 year old chryslers... they look 10 years old already. Ive also seen cars kept meticulously in climate controlled garages, and not be in so good condition. and Ive seen the reverse too. My car wasnt kept up really, but shes in GREAT shape....
