145MPH Speedometer with Gear reducer in the cable...?

are these reducers still avaiable these days? I have a speedometer here with a 145 mph face, was suppose to have been recalibrated, put it in the car, at 60 mph this thing shows about 100 on the face. Don't want to send it away again! looking for a gear reducer, have seen a few setup that way. Any help would be appricated thanks!

You do not want to go with the reducer. I used one one time and it messed with my VSS. The stall converter was locking at a very low speed while driving around the city. I had the speedometer recalibrated and the problem was solved.

Well aware of the VSS issue, ran into that years ago but am thinking it make the TCC LU very late. FWIW this is a NLU so that's not a problem.
The speedometer is a 85MPH unit from a 87GN. I haven't found anyone here in the NE to recalibrate it. Thanks for the replys.
