I tried many many waxes on my 87 GN with original laquer paint. After a few washes the black paint goes grey in areas, ecpecially the rear qtr and behind the side small window.

Have you tried adding a can of fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank. I smelt a rich condition a couple of times and fixed it with a bottle of STP FI cleaner. BTW, cheap gas stations (no name) do not have the cleaners in them.

Do you recommend knocking out the tab on the rear drums to take a feeler gauge measurement for the correct drag for cooling after doing the rear brakes or just going by how snug it is when you slide the drum on?
