Im getting ready to get a boat in may and need a old truck to pull it. Its a 21ft so the truck would need at least a V6. I would pefer a chevy and something that runs just enough to go a couple of miles. In the Tampa Area and will be back from overseas in May to get it.

What are the signs of a turbo going bad? My car smokes a bit when i start it hot or cold. I do have it runnig rich and the smoke is the color gray not a blue color what makes me think that it is just the rich setting.

Does anyone know the A/R for the TA49? What changes i should make to it to increase the performance. (ie:intake)I know that there are little things that i can do to increase the performance without switching the entire turbo. Looking for as much info as possible!!!
