haha They sure learned how to jam this stuff in. The power steering pump can be removed as stated above. 2 13mm bolts through the PS pulley. One is a t 12 O'clock and the other around 7 O'clock. Use a deep well 3/8" drive socket. HTH Mike

There may be a sensitivity setting that needs to be coorected. I'm not sure if this is a dealer thing, or there may be something in the user manual.

yes, in the center of the block on each side there is a knock sensor. Unplug one at a time to help locate which bank you are getting knock from.

Have you run some 100 octane race gas? If it reduces the KR you may have a pre ignition issue, if not it is false KR and something is banging, causing a sound that the knock sensors are picking up. You can also try and unplug one knock sensor at a time to zero in on which bank may be the issue.

If the guage is moving like that, it may be the belt slipping. Factory boost between 5-8psi, depending on the air.

Do you get KR at idle, or while just crusing?

Sounds like the scanmaster is not working right. Check it on another car.

Well it looks like the same block, only b/c they share the same info for everything but compression ratio, tranny, and fuel. I can't answer specific details without more detailed dimensions. Sorry I'd like to see more on the OHV head. :D

Nice car. Some questions... Do you know the bore and stroke? Also the cumbustion height of the pistons will be a tell tail sign. The 3800 Series II went into vehicles in 97. Hope this helps
