I have a girdle on my 4.1. I was told that I should use The right stuff. Did that the first time and it leaked under boost. I tried gm silcone same thing. Is there a rubber gasket out there that I can install because I am not having much luck with the silcone.

Talked to my old machine shop and they said it should drop about a point and a half, so I'm just about where I should be.

I had around 8.5 to 1 with .042 thick head gaskets. I could only run 12 psi of boost with 93 octane. I put in a set of .078 thick head gaskets. There is a huge difference in power, at least a 50hp or so less. I can't turn up the boost yet because of oil being pushed out of the oil pan...

I either have to go to adjustable or custom length pushrods. I put .078 thick cometics head gaskets in and now I have clatter. The gaskets are .036 thicker then the last ones. So I'm pretty sure that longer ones will cure the problem. The current length is 8.925. So should I go with 8.950 or 8.975?

Dan worked for PT&E and now when out on his own. I know he has built plenty of motors and I didn't get a response off the board untill after I had my motor in, so I went with his recomendations. I guess the 100# works for ya then go with it. I just hope that mine holds. Eveyone has a different...
