I’m not sure but I can tell you that you discovered something that you prolly wouldof never thought of. What I mean is if that relay looks like that then imagine what the rest of electrical relays or other electrical parts could look like. It’s definitely gona be a lot of time and chasing but...

the fan delay relay is one of the only relays from factory that’s not a US made and it corrodes inside. The fan delay relay is what makes the electrical fan stay on after turning off the car if it’s at high temp. when shutting down. It’s one of the worst parts installed from factory on GN’s.

I had mine repaired at a local muffler shop and asked them to weld a gusset between 3 and 5 ports.

Check for those famous exhaust manifold cracks, double check all vacuum hoses and the scanmaster #’s should point you into a direction if you remember your #’s before it started ticking

I’ve tried CR43 n R43 gapped @35 15lbs. didn’t notice a difference. I also tried the R42 gapped @30 n @35 with 15lbs. Didn’t notice a difference except 1 plug did foul out within less than 6 months. The only difference I noticed is in my setup the 43’s last longer and give me better gas mileage...
