The truth about the future of the 9X11 converter

I expect to get what I pay for from a vendor, period. I have received that from every Buick vendor I have purchased from every time, which is from at least a dozen vendors. I have never made one complaint ever about a Buick vendor. I just found what Bruce stated disturbing, thats why I made...

The truth about the future of the 9X11 converter

Re: Re: Converters Bruce I dont agree with this statement. The Vendor is doing US a favor by establishing a business for the sole purpose of providing TR vendors nice converters? WRONG. He is doing it because he is good at it, likes to do it, and MAKES MONEY at it. I suppose GM is doing us...

Chris I am one of those who have thought that sometimes you are too cocky and hot headed, but I think this is the most accurate statement I have ever seen you post. Very well said. Maybe I will do business with you in the future

    What headgasket is everyone running?

Jason when did you stop using the 1200? When I bought my kit from you last winter it had 1200 in it and it seems to have worked well. What do you use now and what made you switch?

    high blm's @ cruise

You made it worse by leaning it out when you changed the trans settings. High BLMs means its lean not rich. Go back to your previous settings, maybe slightly richer and see how it goes. TurboBob is the man with the Translator if you have any q's

Opinion, don't laugh! GN drive train in a Chevette.

I saw a guy at Ubly running a BBC Chevette in the 10's. Of course the front seats were gone and he was sitting in the back. You should be relatively safe with a full cage. I wouldnt think about doing this without one. I want to see someone put an LC2 in one of those 3 foot wide...

Lookin to swap in an ole Turbo V6...

Just use parts specific to a TTA. Exhaust, downpipe, headers, etc. As far as heads go you need FWD heads to clear the strut towers. Use a set of TTA heads. Some say they flow better anyways. Lots have done this swap, use the search feature and you will find most of what you need here.

Broke rocker bolt off in aluminum head - HELP!

You have to drill it out and tap it again. It can be done in the car, but would be a whole lot easier if you take it out. Plus you will keep metal shavings out of the engine by taking it off. Why did you have it off in the first place if you dont mind my asking

Tips/Tricks to working on GN engine

You also better have a full set of standard and metric wrenches and sockets If you have the dough now is the time to put a cam in if it is in your future plans. Also change the timing chain and gears, that is a must and is cheap. Good luck getting the AC compressor out, it is a blast:D...
