On my 85 hot air, the turbo went out, so I had it rebuilt. After install I primed the oil system and fired it up and it has been a smoke show since. Now I'm seeing some oil dripping out of the exhaust side! To me, it sounds like this turbo has failed again. Any ideas?

So I got my stock turbo rebuilt, and its been sitting for about 6 years inside a shop. We started it up, and its still smoking allot. Its pushing oil out the dipstick tube also. I changed the PCV valve, but have not drove it yet. It fills like its missing also. Were should I start with this...

So I took the car for a drive and it shot oil ALL over the drivers side of the engine! What would cause this?

As stated, I cant remember what lines runs to the compressor side of the turbo housing.

I'm trying to put my stock turbo back in, my question is how far into the manifold dose it go down in there? I'm pushing has hard as I can and its not going down in there. any one have any pictures?
