Before you chunk it, what 4.1 casting # is it?

I've run one at .040 over (4.005 finished bore size) for over 10-years now with no cylinder problems. The rest of the block (cam bores, deck and main webs) had issues but the cylinders held up fine.

Yeah, sale of the girdle is on hold for the moment since I might need it. I'll keep you in the loop and let you know what happens.

stock bore?

I just cracked the living daylights out of a '484' (deck, cam-bores, main-webbing). I would like to find a '291' this time for the increased strength but, will keep yours in mind if I don't have any luck. In any event, what are you looking to get for your '484'.

Looking for a '291' 4.1 block. Block only, no internals. Stock or overbore okay.
