Ok so it about the equivalent to a TA49. A stock D5 convertor will work fine with this. 50 lbers are a little big for this turbo, however they will work if the chip and tune is right. They leave room to grow into a larger turbo ;)

Definitely a TA series turbo. Compressor housing looks to small in the picture to be a 60.The stamping on the housing refers to the a/r ratio of the housing and it is a .60.....Try to get a measurement of the diameter of the compressor wheel using a dial caliper. it will more than likely be...

Yes, I think it is a bit much. You should be right at 2800 with that turbo. This converter would give you room to grow into a bigger turbo though, if you had any thoughts of doing that.

You can just do gaskets. However the valley pan keeps the hot oil off the bottom of the intake. It is also easier to instal than just gaskets would be.
