The L80 can withstand more power “stock” then the 200. If you put a “stock” built 200 in a “stock” GN and then did the same with a L80 the L80 will out live that 200 all day long. A “stock” L80 will handle 400+ hp easily. I don’t know where you’re seeing $10,000 for a unit that holds 1,000 hp...
I think those are more for if you have a problem with the alignment of the bell housing. You should just need longer dowels to compensate for the adapter plate.
I just installed one, you don't have to beat it up. More like a little massaging. On the drivers side you have to dimple the area for the wiring harness connector. Pass. side had to make dimples for the front and rear cooler lines.

Anybody run the hooker turbo manifolds on your LS swap?
I have them and the passenger side hits the motor mount on the cradle. Just wondered how you fixed this problem.
