have you looked at the flywheel?? just a thought...they do crack and sound like a knock I hope I am not repeating anything...I did not have time to read the thread very well... good luck on the search.... Chris

what the hell I got it!! :D :p Thanks for the input..it made me think hard..... I will try to get it running and drive it for now....but in the future.... I don't think I will put a turbo charged Buick in it ... messing with the intercooler,cooling,wiring... not now anyway... BUT...

They had fillets on the rods. cranks we need/want will have fillets on the mains AND the rods.... the NA 3.8 crank has fillits only on the mains this will give some good info: http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32431 order another and see what happens...

Hey Tim,what did you do with the crank??? I looked at the crank that Advanced got for me.....it looked ok but the mains were cut .30..... :( I had them order me another (they held the first crank for me just in case the next one was worse :eek: ) the next one was 20-20 .....not...

Interesting, I was just talking to Advance the other day for a crank. the info they ask for is vin 9 turbo specific and the crank is much more $ than the non-turbo crank.(I had him look it up both ways) I am going to order one tomorrow,I want to see what they send me...... the manager...

I am one who has made new tanks for the intercooler. I have made the feeds point down. It was easy to make and fit but I have not had time to finish :( I think I will remove a few rows on top to give a little more clearance for the pipes.(a set of ATR ft mount pipes I picked up last year)...
