I did buy a used 200-4R and I know I need to upgrade it. I've been doing quite a bit of reading and it seems there are a handful of reputable guys / companies I can buy kits or even entire transmissions from. If I do decide to buy an entire transmission, who do you recommend? They all sound...
Despite not being able to ID my 200-4R (so far) I know I'll have to put some dollars into beefing it up. My engine build will likely be around 400 HP and 425-450 TQ. I like everything I've read about Chris at CK Performance. I'm looking for suggestions as to what to do to this tranny to beef it...
Steve, no worries.
I've posted this on another board and someone suggested it's from an Olds 98 diesel from '85.
I found a reference on another site saying that they 409G on the case is from a Monte SS.
Finally got around to having a look at the code and serial of my 200-4r I recently bought. It is an HTF. I can't seem to find any info out there. What can you much more learned people tell me?
Thanks!
Thanks again for all of the helpful pic, links and info.

My...
Thanks for the help . . . I've fired off emails to Bowtie, CK and transmissioncenter. On the Holley installation instructions for 20-121 it says that it doesn't work with older carbs . . . I don't think you can get much older than mine, lol. Also, looking at the diagram from Jakes makes my...
Hello all! Brand spankin new to the site upon recommendation from a fellow member I just bought a stock 200-4R from for my 72 Chevelle build.
Before I go any farther with my build I want to make sure that I'll be able to use my carb with my 200-4R I just bought.
Carb = Holley 3310-1, 780 cfm...
