I have a similar problem with my car. I am running a 15x8 wheel with 275/60R15 BFGoodrich Drag Radial. I was running aluminum drums and switched back to the cast iron drums and that moved my tire/wheel in 1/8". It had a real bad problem when I first bought the car due to the old tired...
I have the Prostars, I think they are a timeless look. My father-in-law had the Draglites on his '87 GN and in my opinion didn't look right. Matter of fact he didn't like them either, they came with the car when he bought it. Utlimately, the guy with the cash in his hand has final say. There...
I had a similar problem about three years ago. Switched to the vacuum brake set-up from a Monte Carlo and have had no problems since. I am still running drums on the back, so I can't comment on how it would work with discs all around. The hardest part with the swap was finding the pedal assembly.
I am trying to fill up the wheelwell and not have it looked like it is tucked in too far. Most of the rears i've seen on the forum are in the 4 1/2 to 4 3/4 variety. I ended up finding some American racing 17x8 and 17x9 just need to find out the backspacing, they are from an 1978 El Camino.
Thanks for the response. Not really wanting to do this twice. I have removed the rear trim and it has a mild roll on the fenders. and the tire i would be running would be a 275. Would you be able to post a picture or send me one.
I have trolled through the wheel and tire section for quite a while and also used the search function with no luck...I apologize in advance if this has been discussed. I am looking to swap out my current 15" wheels for a 17x8 front and 17x9.5 rear combo. All of the wheels that i have seen have a...
I will ge making the trip up to Metro for the final leg. I didn't realize you were so close. Stopped there the last time they came through (it was the lunch stop on the way to Dayton). I will have the 87 GN.
used all of the parts for my install last year and it took longer to crawl up under the dash and remove the pedal assembly than anything else, but overall not a big deal. Hardest part for me was finding a vacuum brake pedal. Ended up getting one from a cutlass at a salvage yard near by. I...
Valve covers
What would you need to get out of the valve covers without shipping? I live in Lorain about 20 minutes from North Ridgeville and could pick them up.
