If you have worn transmission clutches, the stage right brake wont always engage under boost. I dont know about the other styles of brakes.

I agree. Sitting on the line for several seconds after the green light, building up boost, doesn't win races.

Thanks for the info Chris. My tranny parts supplier also recommended the Kolene steels, so I guess I'll see how they hold up. Bruce built this tranny the first time around, so I need to talk with him and see what changes he made to the accumulator circuit.
