no, the syty uses a stock 1991 LB4 4.3L cyl head. to get something better you need to use the 93-95 L35's are the best are the 96+ true vortec's. the vortec's will require intake modification to fit but are well worth the extra effort. you can run ~10 more deg of timing with less...

yes the block is the same. whats not the same are the main caps, pistons, and head gaskets. all of which should be changed in any perf buildup.

I had the same thing happen to a box I sent to be updated. they didn't bother to mate the ox with the sensor I had sent with the box(just for this purpose). after thinking and eventually replaceing the sensor after it died the next week it did finally work.

I've seen ppl do the hotwire thing and it seems that it only works in a few cases, not all. besides I want more than what the stock ecm has to offer so it isnt a viable option for my setup.

modding the ecm is a great patch as I had nolan do mine a few yrs ago, but the syty ecm just wasn't deisgned to handle that much amperage. when you get yours back you will see on datamater, the Volts drop that was normal is only now going to be worse. I saw volts as low as 9.3 with my 84's...
