Or actually, there are really three parts ... there is the keyhold part (far left) that hooks onto the pin, which then goes into the second part (the "tube"), which is followed by the threaded rod. I was thinking the key-hole part and the "tube" part turned together around the threaded rod...

Yeah, I got the clip off no problem (it's back on for now). Ok, didn't think I was not seeing a lock-nut. So once I take that clip off, can I just grab the rusted part (the sleeve I call it) with some pliers or the like and pull it off the pin? Then I assume I can turn that whole sleeve...

Ahh, defaults to private ... fixed it, you should be able to see it now. I got the clip off without a problem. Do you mean the rusted part that the non-rusted threads are going into? Just thought that was a "receiving shaft", didn't realize it was a nut (assuming that's it.)

I see the horseshoe clip (pretty much like I imagined), but don't see the lock nut. (see pics). Maybe on mine I can just remove that horseshoe clip and then it will slide off? Sorry if I'm being obtuse and missing something obvious.

Got the fuse done ... now just have to mess with the fuse box in 100 degree weather. Weee! I took a look at the wastegate, but not sure how to take it off. Although, I don't have the greatest lighting at the moment.

Thanks for all the additional ideas everyone, including the MAF ... but sounds like I'd need to put in a BAD MAF, rather than just unplug. If I do the wastegate, I can't remember, do I need to do anything special to unhook it? Is it just a pin/clip holding it on there that you can pull off...

That's what I used to use the orange ECM plug for now that I think about it, way back when ... until I learned I was wiping my "hard earned" data. BLM's (block learn memory) if I recall.
